Re: A Year of Crockpotting
This is great! I love the crock pot during the first trimester of pregnancy because you can put it in the garage and don't have to smell it!

Re: A Year of Crockpotting
I appreciated that there are vegetarian and vegan recipes also I have a hard time coming up with ideas that don't include meat when looking at slow cooker recipes

Re: A Year of Crockpotting
I just ordered a new Hamilton Beach one. My mom broke the stonewear in my old one. It is lead free and it comes as a 3-`1....it has a 2 qt, 4qt and 6qt crocks. The reviews on amazon were really good. I can't wait until it gets here.

Re: A Year of Crockpotting
Thank you so much for this link! I"ve already used one of her ideas (modified for what I had at home).
I NEED to use my Crock this year, b/c evenings with homework and baths are absolutely crazy... If I don't get dinner started or done early in the day, it doesn't happen. |

Re: A Year of Crockpotting
She's done all 365 recipes, and has some good FAQs at the top now. I didn't realize I need to be filling the crockpot at least 2/3 full or it will cook too hot. That may be why my steel cut oats are always stuck to the sides in the morning. So a smaller crockpot would be a good choice for that. Such a cool blog!
