Default Digestive issues linked to hormones - solutions?

As I've gotten older and am in perimenopause, I'm struggling with digestive issues, particularly bloating, very slow digestion, and a feeling of "fullness" (which prevents me from getting enough fluids since I cannot "fit" them in my stomach). It's definitely tied to hormones, but not cyclically - mostly related it seems to ovulatory vs. anovulatory cycles. I've not found much by way of searching online regarding solutions. So I'm wondering if anyone has had or is having similar experiences and what you've done about it?

Have you noticed a pattern of certain foods causing more of an issue than others?

I had become lactose intolerant. First thing to do is cut that out and next try gluten IMO.

No. It definitely seems tied to hormones. On anovulatory months I seem fine, and on ovulatory months (particularly the cycles after an anovulatory month) it is worse. It seems unrelated to food at all.

Well, I'm vegan already. I can try gluten but it seems unrelated to food.

Do you think digestive enzymes might be needed?

Sadly gallbladder issues might be at play.

Hmm. I think I will try enzymes. Do you happen to have a recommendation?

I don't really have suggestions, just comaraderie. I had serious digestive issues during perimenopause. My dr didn't have advice either. I reduced my diet to essentiallly meat and vegetables, so basically cutting out carbs and anything processed. That was the only thing that helped, but it didn't help enough. It's hard.

The best one I know of isn't available right now. But I will try and find the one I like second best.

What's your sugar intake like? Have you had fasting blood sugar checked? When that is off, your other hormones are likely to be off, too.

These are enzymes we've taken. Recommended by our ND.
