We are doing Paleo kind of. We follow the emeals Paleo plan because it goes the best with gf/df diet. We supplement some, but not a lot.

I thought it would be easier just to take a break for the holidays but now it's hard to decide what we need to go back to avoiding and what is OK for her to have ... so basically we're back to square one.

In the meantime, Z has started solids and his face broke out in a rash the other day so I need to track down exactly what caused that (avocado? dairy in my coffee creamer?)
I don't know the backstory but have you considered an IgG food panel? It was worth every penny for us because we found out we needed to eliminate:

pork, pinto beans, kidney beans, peanuts, green beans, chicken, & egg yolks.

Not dairy, which was a huge relief! I never, ever would've figured out green beans or chicken if it hadn't been for the test.

How many pennies are we talking about here? I have a high deductible insurance plan for the kids and me and DH's employment is temporary for the time being...

IgG is never covered by insurance. IIRC it was $250. But ours included IgE and inhalants. There are cheaper ones.

You might have just inspired my dinner for tonight! For the pot pies, did you end up using the crust as written or did you try the alternate biscuit crust?

I did the one that was written. I might try the alternate next time.

I did find though for the zuchinni spirals, do not do them 30 minutes with the oven on. LOL Mine started burning!! SO... I took those out, and made some carrot spirals and threw those in the sauce. We'll see how the kids like that today...

Can I just say this cinnamon fermented cod liver oil is amazing? I thought it'd be weird and still taste like fish, but it seriously takes restraint not to chug the whole bottle every morning. It's like those valentine's cinnamon hearts candies. I should have started taking this ages ago. I was always so nervous about spending the money only to throw it out if I couldn't get it down. Psh.

Seriously? I guess we need to keep working through our fermented clo/butter oil just to try cinnamon. It's gotta be better than the chocolate flavored we have here.

Chocolate FCLO is a crime against all that is good and right. It is vile.

Cinnamon is pretty good.

Heh, the cinnamon was good for a little while until my pregnancy nausea kicked in. I haven't been able to take it at ALL for about 3 weeks now and I'm scared to start up again

I've been contemplating opening up the chocolate one just to have some variety and choice

Believe it or not, the children outright refused to eat their lunch AND refused it as dinner.

DH and I had the other half as lunch (each one bowl) and it was AWESOME. :drool

Oh well, their loss.

Making more coleslaw tomorrow if I can carve the time out... Both boys and I have been eating it like crazy and even DH has said it is YUM... so... yeah, I'm gonna keep on making it.

I tried quinoa in our spaghetti instead of rice or GF pasta. It was sooo good! The nuttiness really complemented the parmesan
