Did you use the recipe for the brownies I linked? What were the family reviews? I'm always curious what other people think of some of these alternative desserts.

Yes, I used that recipe.

I subbed oil for the butter and had run out of vanilla

and I cut the sugar from 3/4 c to 1/2 c. Reviews were mixed.

My guys enjoyed the mystery of trying to guess the secret ingredient more than the brownie, I think (I may have scared them

) but my dd and I love them. Very moist and yummy.

Hamburgers, roasted potatoes, leftover roasted veggies last night.

Tonight...pizza, I think. Costco has a new box of four gf pizzas for $16 that I picked up today. I'll make my dairy free guy a crust from scratch, and toss a simple salad.

ETA: oops, it's three pizzas (four cheeses) The crust was tough, not as good as the brand they used to carry.

Monday - Broccoli and mushroom alfredo
Tuesday - Grilled tomato basil chicken sausages, rice, grilled eggplant and yellow squash with a grilled tomato sauce (I'm thinking of grilling tomatoes and onion and peppers and blending into a sauce with garlic, salt, pepper, basil and oregano), grilled pineapple
Wednesday - Pepper jack and mushroom burgers, oven fries, homemade gf spiralized onion rings, homemade quick pickles
Thursday - Chiles rellenos, rice, corn on the cob
Friday - lemon pepper tilapia, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans
Saturday & Sunday - Chicken and potato chowder

It's a kid-free weekend for me, so tonight I'm having pineapple pizza and leftover zucchini bread. Tomorrow I will probably make spaghetti.

We had rice quinoa pasta with sausage and roasted zucchini and vidalia onions. I usually just buy a big bag of yellow onions because of cost, but the vidalia onions were 50 cents a pound. They make such a difference when roasting vegetables!

I made Grilled Lime Salmon with Avocado-Mango Salsa and Coconut Rice. SO yummy with all the fresh flavors, and the rice was such a fun change too.
