Help! Oversalted pulled pork
I made pulled pork in the instant pot yesterday - over 4 lb of it.
I never usually salt my cooking, preferring to salt at the table. This time, I did. It's totally oversalted. Even mixed with rice, it's too salty. Any ideas on how I can rescue this? Use in other recipes? Any recipe ideas? |

Have you tried rinsing it?

Re: Help! Oversalted pulled pork
I would dilute it in other recipes where the meat is only a small percentage. Casseroles. Soup. Etc. Especially something with pasta or potatoes as they tend to absorb excess salt.

Re: Help! Oversalted pulled pork
I was going to suggest that you put it back in a pot and boil potatoes with it and then drain and use the meat.

Re: Help! Oversalted pulled pork
I resurrected it by adding more pulled pork (plain) and mixing it all up. It's perfect now
