Re: September's What's For Supper
Whole Foods had 100% grass-fed beef for $4.99/lb, so we had hamburgers last night and pasta tonight. Leftovers tomorrow, and Thursday we don't get home till 8PM because of karate. Looking ahead to the weekend, though and I am blank. I will be reading along for some good ideas.

Re: September's What's For Supper
I sauteed chicken breasts in butter and olive oil (seasoned with just S&P), and added a handful of Craisins and a single serve container of unsweetened applesauce at the end. Served it over brown rice with green beans.

Re: September's What's For Supper
Tonight I'm making Chicken with Apple Gravy and cheddar rice (minus the peas and green beans) from this recipe, roasted sweet potatoes and sautéed spinach and garlic. We have similar recipes today, Connie. I may have to add a handful of dried cranberries to my spinach sauté.

Re: September's What's For Supper
I find myself using Craisins more in savory dishes lately! DH and I love a romaine salad with chopped turkey, Craisins, and thick, chunky bleu cheese salad dressing

Re: September's What's For Supper
I can't believe that I forgot the craisins in the two hours between posting and fixing supper. Hopefully I can remember them another time.
A salad that we really like with craisins is romaine, feta, cucumber, craisins and a simple balsamic vinaigrette.

Last night was baked fried chicken, mashed potatoes and white gravy, seasoned green beans, and blue cheese beet and butter lettuce salad.
Tonight we are having tacos, refried beans, and stuffed jalapeno peppers.

Re: September's What's For Supper
Last night we had beef noodle soup and we're having leftovers for our main meal today. I'm not sure what we'll have for supper - maybe burritos or quesadillas with the leftover taco stuff or grilled cheese and tomato soup.
