Moving?
Our house is too small for us. We have tried downsizing, but with HSing and DH working from home more and those kids who keep getting bigger... Well!
Our problem is that we have to sell our house before we can buy somewhere else. I cannot imagine how to get our home ready for sale when we already well and truly live the edges (and half way up the walls, too.) This is hampered by my health. I suffered a back injury in January and have been significantly disabled ever since (which has not helped with the home situation.) Home organisation is not one of my strong points, anyway, but I am the best at it in our family by a long shot. I think it is going to take me quite a while to get through all that must be done to get our house on the market. Can anyone give me any tips of how to do this? Something like a step by step guide? I don't really have any idea where to even start. (I could also use some prayers with the whole attachment thing, too, please. The kids and I are pretty emotionally upset by the thought of moving from our home, too.) Natalie

Re: Moving?
No tips but we might be getting ready to move in a month or so also. My plan is to contact a realtor and ask for their assessment/ideas on what we can and should do to make the house ready for sale and attractive to potent buyers.

Re: Moving?
Praying.
Does the house need major work or are we talking about just steps to staging the house? Have you talked to an agent to know when houses sell in your area? I don't think you want to have to keep it showing ready for 6 months.

Re: Moving?
Praying! Staging and selling a house while living in it can be overwhelming. That said, you can do it! Obviously the first step is to declutterer as much as possible. A declutterer space looks larger and more appealing to people. If a potential buyer sees stuff not in a space they assume that the home has inadequate storage and it's a huge the off.
Purge. Purge. And purge. Then look in to temporary storage of some kind. Do you have a shed or somewhere you can box up and store things? Even a family members or friends garage?

Re: Moving?
Could you hire a teen that you could direct and help you pack and sort ahead of time room to room? I know on the shows I watch they encourage people to declutter in a big way and take out all personal pictures and knick knacks and books and most toys . At same time could have a donation box for each room for things you dont want to take to new house
