Almost any EO will help so you don't need to run out and buy something if you don't feel well enough to go out.

When we were seeing an.anthroposophical pediatrician, he recommended lavender for all viruses. I find lavender to be the most versatile oil and I try never to be without it. Thieves blend (there are several variations, doesn't have to be the official Thieves® brand) is also very versatile and can be used for viruses.

I agree. I view EOs as medicine. I don't use them internally or topically unless I see a definite need. I'm much looser with diffusing because we have a ridiculously big house and great room and I honestly can't always even smell then when I diffuse. But I don't even diffuse that much because I just forget to. I do use them on my face mixed with squalene but they're diluted.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on taking them internally. I was however planning on applying it to my skin, and my kid's skin (after having researched what is safe and what is not!!). But yeah, will remember to be VERY careful with how I use it .

Default Re: Essential Oils

If you apply to skin please dilute properly in oil, not water prior to application.

DS became severely allergic to lavender and tea tree, which were a high end MLM brand within 3 applications in 24 hours. 7 years later he still can’t even be in a store that sells natural soaps that contain those oils without having a severe allergic reactions. I’ve nearly had to use the epipen just from him inhaling lavender soaps before. And the health food stores live to diffuse lavender. He has a ton of environmental allergies to plants so that may have impacted things, but EOs are intensely concentrated and that was a huge factor.

I absolutely love this blend of EOs in almond oil for my skin. Linking it here because you could mix this yourself. The ingredients are listed on the page.

Wow!! That looks awesome!!

I just bought some EO's . I don't have a rollerball, so I can't make my own blends ahead of time , I have to mix them in the moment and use them. I gather I'll get them soon enough. So far, I've been using them to help my DD sleep better (she's two years old), my husband and myself. I've also used them in a flaxseed gel I make for myself and my kid .

Default Re: Essential Oils

A neat option can be pre blended oils or using old bottles (take an old bottle when it’s empty full w a carrier and put a few drops of the EO, then recap).

There are many pre blended options available and then u can refill the bottles — I have rose that’s blended w jojoba from aura cacia and I use for depression and on my face for skin health (wrinkles!!!!) I think that it’s really improved the permeability of my face!

for safety I love Using EOs Safely on fb, and their website http://www.usingeossafely.com
For oil brands we like aura cacia, plant therapy, Rocky Mountain, and edens garden.
For deodorant I use https://www.mommypotamus.com/easy-homemade-deodorant/ because dh is anaphylactic to coconut and reacts to all forms. I've made it last two times with 30 drops cypress 30 drops balsam fir.
