Smiles and tears

The iris is my favourite flower and my Aunty (who passed away just under 2 years ago) fostered my love by giving me one to put in my garden. It was the first plant that thrived in my garden as I previously had a black thumb.
I also bought another one which never flowered, except on the day of her funeral

Today I went to an iris farm. The lady was taking me around and digging out the ones I wanted to buy. I told her about my Aunty and she said, "come with me" and took me to a special section where she had iris "babies." New plants that had not yet been named. She allowed me to pick one that suited her and name it.
So I introduce to you, the Genevieve iris.
