So....I learned how to gut fish today.
DS2 has wanted to go fishing. DH hasn't taken him yet. So I asked a friend's husband to take him (think grandpa age). We went today and man did he catch fish! I had to say "that's enough!". 2 bass and 9 Blue Gill and 2 small ones thrown back. DH has inventory this weekend and will be at work til 11:00pm or so. Friend said the fish would be okay in refrigerator 'til tomorrow afternoon. (The only thing I do with fish is eat them). Well....talking to my dad at 7:30 he says they need to be gutted now. Ugh! So Youtube it was. Thank you for kitchen gloves! I do not think I could have done it barehanded! They are now back in the refrigerator and dh can do the rest. Can't believe I even did it.

Good for you!
I had to learn how to do turkeys from YouTube. Dh shot them in our yard and took off to work. I agree with you dad. It needs to be done asap, not the next day. |

Dh didn't get home until after 1:00am! Poor guy! They pushed through to finish so they didn't have to go back today. He got up at 10:00 and finished the fish. I watched to learn. And it's raining so had to do it in the kitchen. But it's done now! Will cook them today.
