Best soap scum remover ?

I have tried so many natural cleaners and made my own, but I think it's time to use a chemical soap scum remover. I need to get the soap scum off of my glass shower doors. Ideas for the best?

And with that, we have calcium buildup that I can't keep up with anymore around the faucets. Ideas for removing that?

CLR cleaner for the calcium.

For soap scum, I just did this on a pretty bad case. I let a mixture of tide coldwater he and water sit, then put down Comet with bleach and kept that wet by spraying more of the tide/water mixture, while going back and forth and scrubbing again after letting that paste sit a little while. It didn't amount to that much total scrubbing. The trick was to use the scrubbing as a way to dig in repeatedly to keep the chemicals working deeper and deeper.

I've successfully used straight borax and a lot of scrubbing with a stiff brush before. Just be sure to wear gloves.

Yeah, elbow grease and something abrasive. I've used a combo of baking soda and salt.

I recently de-scummed our tub with a razor blade.

My tub is nice and white now.

For the faucets:

Saturate some paper towels with distilled vinegar. Wrap them around the faucet. Cover with a plastic bag (to keep it from drying out) and let it sit overnight. In the morning the hard water scale will come right off.

Just make certain it's not a plastic faucet made to look like metal. The faux metal coating will peel off.

(I learned this tip on one of those hoarder shows years ago.)

I should try that, we have 50 year old bathtubs that I can't ever get clean. No matter how much I scrub if I scratch my nail accross it I scrape a line off soap scum off. It just shreds magic erasers.

Shampoo. My dh sometimes buys "body wash" but I tell him it's no different than shampoo. I usually buy a gallon of Shikai and refill smaller bottles.

For hand soap, I use the foaming dispensers. Fill with water and a little shampoo. It takes a bit to figure out the right amount to add. Too little it will be watery, too much it will be hard to pump.

We've been using a mixture of dawn detergent and vinegar, in a spray bottle (you have to heat the viniger in the microwave to get it to mix well), but we don't have hard water.
