activated charcoal
have any of you used activated charcoal? ...upset stomach in the house.
how do you use it? do you have a dose you like? are there any side effects that I need to know about? is there a certain brand I need to order? am I leaving anything out? thanks. |

Yes, and it's fantastic for stomach issues!
For the person who vomits, I give a capsule after the initial vomiting, and then re-dose after every vomiting episode. Usually, it helps pretty quickly. For everyone else who has been exposed, I also give a capsule as a preventative. For little ones, I will usually mix it into applesauce or a drink, since they can't swallow the capsules.

Yes, it's great. I take it in capsules.
It can be constipating but we've never had problems because usually everything is coming out, anyway, if you kwim. |

Yes, we use it. I have loose powder. It doesn’t have a weird taste.
