Well, the kids are helping my dad plant his garden today, and AF still has not returned since I had Baby J almost a year ago. Im happy about that for sure, but now I wont be able to do my experiment. Anybody doing the special fertilizer this season? I'd love to see like a control and test plant

I opted out, since I realized that this isn't exactly Torah-observant.

You think so? Wouldn't manure also be unclean then?

I am going to. I kept forgetting to give my plants some placenta. Most of my plants are just in the ground so next cycle I'm going to do it. I was going to do an experiment with Marigolds this year but I don't know if I'm up to buy the pots and soil and marigolds, when I've more than doubled my regular garden.

As long as it is in the soil, a part of the natural occurring process of decay, it seems Torah observant. It would really only be an issue if you were spraying it on your plants, but nobody really does that. It is really just used as a component to enrich soil.

Human manure...yes. I may very well be wrong about this, and I am okay with finding that out. But, for now...I can't reconcile the two, so it would not be in my good conscience to proceed with it.
