Question Recipes using chick peas / garbanzo beans

I've had several cans in my pantry for a long time. When I make hummus, some gets eaten the first day and that's it. So I'm hoping for some ideas other than hummus.

I've had store bought snickerdoodle hummus, which was also very yummy, but have never made that kind myself.

I make these with chickpeas instead of tofu. Good to eat plain or on a salad or in rice.

I add an egg and use almond butter. I throw it all in a food processor and usually put walnuts in there too.

I just saw a recipe for sweet potato chick pea buddha bowls with a maple tahini sauce. It looked yummy, but I won't be able to get my hands on some tahini.

I put chickpeas into pasta meals a LOT. Like, diced chicken, tomatoes, peppers, onion, spinach, zucchini, and chick peas, tossed with pasta and topped with shredded parmesan. Super quick and tasty.

I also roast chick peas with various seasonings as part of a rice bowl meal.

These all sound good! I love roasting them and topping salads. Here's a recipe that's tasty and different. If you put it over rice it goes a long way. https://www.thelazygeniuscollective....g/chickpeabowl

Chana Masala? So good!

---------- Post added at 11:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:29 AM ----------

Also coconut chickpea curry: https://oceanskater.blogspot.com/200...eeks-food.html

I always make it vegetarian, but I think the original recipe called for lamb.

---------- Post added at 11:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:30 AM ----------

This is my favorite chickpea dessert:
Chickpea Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Ingredients:

2 cups chickpeas
 (warm if possible)
1/4 cup natural peanut butter

1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp maple syrup

1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips

Directions:
Rinse well and peel your chickpeas.

Put your chickpeas, peanut butter, maple syrup and vanilla in the food processor and blend until smooth. Remove it from your food processor and stir in the chocolate chips.
