Organize from the inside out vs The house that cleans itself
What does everyone think about these books? Has anyone read both, and which one did you find the most helpful?

I've read both and found them both helpful in different ways!
Was there something in particular you were wondering about?

Re: Organize from the inside out vs The house that cleans itself
Which one breaks it up best into applicable steps? I am a messy that really want to get organized, and I am drawn to these books because they are both supposedly by people who have been there and they are supposed to work with the habits you already have.
It seems the difference between the htci and organize inside and out is that one system focuses on sight lines and the other on zones? Did you find one method more helpful than the other? Also, I know the house that cleans itself has a Christian bent. I like this idea, but I also don't want leave it feeling like I am a failure in God's eyes if I am still a messy in the end. So, I just want to check that it isn't just a cleanliness is next to godliness thing. One last question, to they have lots of tables, graphs, or things? I was thinking about buying one for my nook, but I find books with tables and such just don't read well on the nook.

Re: Organize from the inside out vs The house that cleans itself
I The house that cleans itself. No shaming in it at all, infact I remember a lot about giving yourself grace and realising that actually, it isn't that something is wrong with you, just that God wired your brain differently and here's how you can organise your house to stay clean in a way that compliments the way your brain works.
No tables either. I haven't read the other book, so can't say for sure that THTCI is 'better' but it's definitely worth a read |
