Re: What's for dinner in February?
We got a big dump of snow last night so snow day here for the kids!
I put a beef roast in the crock pot for dinner. Sliced onion on the bottom, then the roast, and covered with a combination of chopped ginger, chopped garlic, olive oil, liquid amino acids and some herbs and spices. We LOVE garlic around here, and yes, we use a LOT! Here is it pre-cooked: And this is from another night's dinner, but I just got around to uploading the picture. This is the chopped salad I made. Chopped broccoli, carrot, red onion, tomato, sunflower seeds, almonds, feta cheese. Super delicious.

Re: What's for dinner in February?
It would fun to play this month. DH is an eclectic cook and does most of the cooking.
I think the plan is for crockpot lasagna tonight.

Re: What's for dinner in February?
I'm cooking for the Bible study tonight (our church's outreach). Vegetable beef soup, artisan bread. DS2 and I are going to try SK's brownie cutout cookies, since I don't have the ingredients for the regular brownies I was hoping to make.

Re: What's for dinner in February?
We were going to have crock-pot lasagna, but I couldn't find the noodles and now it is too late to start it (I found the noodles). So I just put a frozen pork-loin in the oven. Not sure what else we are going to have with it yet.

Re: What's for dinner in February?
my roast smells heavenly!
I am making baked sweet potato fries for the first time tonight. Following this recipe: http://www.instructables.com/id/Perf...ries/?ALLSTEPS I want to get my kids to eat less white potatoes and more sweet, so I'm trying a few different methods. I am also doing sauteed julienned zucchini and carrots. Then a spinach salad.
