Honestly, I think I'd rather be sick.

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
Okay - I came back to rave about this stuff... 3x this season so far - I've felt like I was coming down with something.. you know when you KNOW that you are getting sick? Well each time, I felt better after a day of taking the tonic 3x per day...
THe first batch i made was on the small side because I wasn't sure if I could stomach it... but really - its not bad at all.. i take it in a tiny bit of oj or i'll add it to homemade chicken stock - tastes like soup... So i'm making a fresh batch today.. and when my 4yo son asked me what I was doing in the kitchen, he exclaimed "OH GOOD!! More master tonic!!" (he takes a tiny bit in OJ) Anyways... i'm sure that i'll get sick at some point this year.. but I'm positive that this stuff has helped me to resist much of the viruses currently going around...

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
Honestly, it actually sounds worse than the castor oil and herbs I had to take when overdue.
I'm with Adrienne , I'd rather be sick. Hats off to all of you willing to try this!

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
I'm so going to try this. They have all the ingredients at our local walmart. Wish I'd found this before I got sick this time. Maybe I'll chop up enough goodies to make a batch and some soup. Might not be too bad if I add some veggies, chicken, & stock?

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
I know it needs to sit for 2 weeks before straining, but could you use it during that time? I just gave this recipe to a friend whose MIL was just diagnosed with cancer. Hoping it might help her immune system to fight off any infections that might threaten to make things worse.

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
I just made this! I'm very excited about it, and can't wait to try it out. I thought it smelled very good while making it, my eyes didn't water until I tossed all the prepped veggies together.
I have MS, and last year received an infusion that made me very sick as a result. I am hoping that this will keep all the crud away, and if I need another infusion, perhaps I won't get sick at all. Does anyone have any good stories as to how this tonic helped/healed you? |

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
Honestly, after the horrible fall/winter we just went through with SOOOO many viral illnesses I would totally be willing to give this a try !!!I'm sure the taste can be camouflaged a little in juice (hopefully!). Trace and I are going to have a MASTER TONIC making night in the fall I think

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
After using this all fall and winter... its now my favorite immune boosting weapon!!
Question for you all.. do you take the time to actually peel and chop each garlic clove? I'd read somewhere that you can just toss all of the ingredients together in a food processor... no need to peel, since you are straining it eventually anyways.. Thoughts??

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
I would peel it because the peels aren't usually that clean.

Re: MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe
pampered chef has a cool little tool to peel garlic.. I wonder if someone else has one too... also..you can squish with a knife and the peel will often start to come off...
