Re: May 2020 Dinners
It was almost hot today (low 80's) so I made a Muffaletta and steamed some broccoli.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
I was on my own again for dinner. Dd made some kind of stir fry for herself and no one else was home. I started making honey lime chicken but ended up not making the sauce. I just cut up a piece of chicken and made a salad. It was so good.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
We're trying to empty our freezer so we had udon noodles, wontons, and an asian mandarin salad.
Cooking is one way I really enjoy serving my family, but I'm getting weary of my kids being unhappy with every dinner. Tomorrow I'm making spaghetti and meatballs because who can complain about that, right?

Re: May 2020 Dinners
I've always told kids that complain that they are welcome to plan and prepare a meal if they are tired of my cooking.
They don't really complain much anymore.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
I stoped that kind of drastically. I got a chorus of yucks and I don’t like that’s from the kids. I didn’t say anything. I just took it all back to the kitchen and they didn’t eat.
Then we had discussions about why treating someone That way is wrong and what Is ok to say or do if you don’t like the food. They were also expected to thank the person who cooked the meal afterwards. It made a big difference. |
