Brussels sprouts
Tonight I roasted Brussels sprouts and they were sooo good! I cut the stems off and then quartered the heads. I tossed them (including the leaves that fell off) in coconut oil, spread them in a pan, sprinkled liberally with kosher salt and some fresh Parmesan and then put them in the oven at 425 for 15 minutes. Loved them! Dh thought they were bland though so if you like to drown your food in spices you might want to add some lemon or pepper. Try it!!

Re: Brussels sprouts
That is exactly how I love my Brussel sprouts! I pan fry instead of oven roast, but yeah. Everyone always says I'm crazy but it's so good.

Re: Brussels sprouts
Sounds good. I might have to try that next time. I usually sautee them in garlic, sea salt, pepper, and olive oil.

Re: Brussels sprouts
That's how I do it, minus the cheese. I do sea salt and pepper. So tasty! You can get a similar result foil wrapping them and putting them on the grill.

Re: Brussels sprouts
Thanks, I'll try that. Must work with frozen ones, right?
We have an invisible "chart" for sprouts. Each person in the family (mainly the children really!) has a number of sprouts they are on, with a view to increasing it. DS1 is a star and he is on 6. Some of the others struggle with 1 on their plate. Hence the fact we are calling it some sort of challenge to improve our personal best.

Re: Brussels sprouts
I really don't like the frozen brussels sprouts much. They have a different texture and flavor to me. (and I am ok with some frozen veggies)
