How Much Buttercream?
I have a recipe that uses 6 tablespoons homemade strawberry puree, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar to 1/2 pound butter. Will this fill and frost a 3-layer cake made in 9-inch pans, or do I need to make more?

Re: How Much Buttercream?
My recipe uses 3 cups powdered sugar and it covers 18 cupcakes or one two layer cake. I would have to double to cover and fill a three layer I think, though I would have extra then. Maybe 1.5? Or double it and eat the rest!

Re: How Much Buttercream?
You'll need about 4 cups of frosting to fill and frost a 3-layer cake. I think you're going to have to double your recipe.

Re: How Much Buttercream?
You need to double it for sure.
That sounds yummy!
