Gentle transition

Sunshine decided to sleep in her own room. She did so for about a week. I got a baby monitor for my comfort and peace of mind and got her a princess night light she's been asking for that I'd said for when she's in her own bed.

Then she said she was scared one night so she slept in our room. The next night there was a storm that scared her and she was back in our bed.

Now, she wants to play in her room until cuppycake is asleep then she wants to come to our bed. She's using it as a way to stay up and play later. Dh will be in school in sept so until cuppycake is asleep I have no way of ensuring she's in bed but I don't really care if she plays for a while.

The problem is playing longer then coming to our bed.

I'm torn. Being in her bed was her idea and I wasn't really ready. Now I am because it was kinda nice. I don't want to force her but I don't want her pulling this "I'm gonna play for a while then sleep with mom and dad" thing.

Help me!!! What should I do? How can I encourage her to go back to her bed?

Do they usually go to bed at the same time or does Sunshine go to bed later than Cuppycakes?

When I'm soloing, I usually set up Dressy up either watching tv in the tv room, or playing with my phone (with it set on airplane mode so she can't go online) or reading in her room. Then I get Dancing to sleep. Then I go in and lay down with Dressy, cuddle with her, read a book, tell a story and she needs to stay in her room.

If she neeeeeeds to be in bed with me, she has to be quiet. If she's not, she gets sent out of the room. Then when she's asleep, she gets moved into her bed.

She stays up a little later. We're just figuring this out. She said if I read them both a story in her room she would be able to stay in there while I put cuppycake down. She said she gets up and makes noise because she's afraid she will fall asleep before I get to her.
