Favorite chocolate protein/nutrition shake
We've recently had to stop purchasing our preferred protein/nutrition shakes. I have been using Vega which is fine for me but my kids don't like it.
What other good but affordable shakes are there? It does no need to be vegan for my kids. They don't like the consistency of the Vega shakes. We use them as a quick way to get a protein packed breakfast into my slowpoke and for oldest to refuel quickly after practice. Sometimes I make them as a desert if dinner is light on the protein. |

Re: Favorite chocolate protein/nutrition shake
I have a high powered blender. I use raw almonds, chia seeds, a few green leaves of something like kale or silver beet, frozen berries, raw cacao, a green apple and coconut water. It's amazing every time, no added sugar ( we are sugar free in that we don't add sugar or sugar alternatives, but we do eat fruit).

Re: Favorite chocolate protein/nutrition shake
I use peanut powder instead of protein powders. Protein isolate is cancer-causing. Peanut powder is just peanuts with the fat removed. I drink a peanut powder and cocoa powder smoothie with bananas and plant-based milk every morning. Yum!! My kids have them all the time, too.
