IgG food intolerance testing
I think I've asked about accuracy on the boards here before....but I can't remember. Lately I've had a few conversations irl about it.
Our 9 year old dd has been on an elimination diet for just shy of 3 months based on the IgG test. She has perioral pustule dermatitis and they thought maybe they could figure out a trigger by doing the tests. We never saw any difference in her symptoms. And she never had any other symptom of a food allergy/intolerance. Anyway, I've been trying to read some more about it and found this today. https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org...e-science-say/ and wondered what people who know about it think. And this. http://www.cleanandleanrevolution.co...o-my-patients/ I guess I'm just questioning the reliability of the test and wondering if it's been for nothing. We are vegan, by choice, but we had such a varied diet. Then the food testing and several things were pulled, but they are things that are in everything. And now the things the dermatologist suggested we remove, which actually have made a difference with her PPD. It just leaves very little variation and I can't see how that is healthy, especially for a child. I know I've mentioned all this here before, so forgive me being repetitive. Just trying to figure it all out.

Re: IgG food intolerance testing
We did it for Isaac and it made a difference. It at least gave us a clearer path of things to eliminate and try. I am currently waiting on my results to arrive. I have several health issues and hoping it gives me a clear indication of the direction I need to go.
