I did it!

I finally got over my fear of canning and fermenting.

I canned five quarts of pickles tonight using cukes from the garden and I started one quart of fermented pickles also with cukes from the garden. I picked 11 large cucumbers the last two days in my teeny tiny garden.

Canning pickles seemed like the perfect foray into canning since there is no water bath or pressure canning.

I'm so excited.

I hope they turn out.

Yay! I absolutely love canning. I started last year, and it's sooo nice to have meals and stuff ready to go.

So one of the jars didn't seal so I put it in the fridge this morning. I just couldn't wait to try it so I snitched one and oh my stars, they are absolutely delicious. I think I'm hooked.

Mmm, I wanted to can pickles this year too but alas, I didn't get to plant my garden.
