Re: December Dinners
That sounds good. I'm so sick of making dinners that work for everyone. My dad is picky...it has to be mushable but not "mushy" and we all prefer crisp amd crunchy. I'm over it

Re: December Dinners
What??? No! :shock in his defense, the problem is he spent a year not wearing them and when he finally decided to get them refitted the VA dentist closed for covid and hasn't re opened for non emergencies. I guess eating isn't urgent enough.

Re: December Dinners
Ah, yes, well that would make it difficult. Who knew eating was optional from a dental point of view?

Re: December Dinners
That's a good idea. He has always talked about how the best way to cook food is at super low temps for several days. Maybe I could do like a crock pot compost and just continually feed it! He prefers dirty dishes (hasn't let me wash his coffee cup in nearly a year)...he might be really into that!
I'm kidding about most of that. I don't want to give him food poisoning, but the crock idea is great! Sent from my SM-A515U using Tapatalk

Re: December Dinners
We're not doing take out at all these days, but this week has felt like a month of the Monday-est Mondays ever. So our compromise was to pick up a ready to cook shrimp and scallop skillet stir fry with rice, veggies and sauce. We let the youngest pic a "fancy" single serve frozen mac and cheese since seafood would be utterly wasted on him.
I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it. It's a bit ridiculous. Yay Friday! |

Re: December Dinners
We're doing butter chicken and rice tonight. And going to a party that starts at 7 and I have no idea what the food will be. I'm going to eat a small portion of my dinner just in case they only have appetizers. I love butter chicken!

Re: December Dinners
We had finger foods while watching the Charlie Brown Christmas movie and decorating the Christmas tree. Pumpernickel bread with spinach dip, cheese and salami with buns, grapes, chicken pieces, and jalapeno poppers. Pie with ice cream for dessert.

Re: December Dinners
I was going to make chili for the weekend but I forgot to buy all of the ingredients so I guess I'm not sure.
