Draw Something --small rant and invitation

So is it just normal for people to write the word when they can't figure out how to draw it on "Draw Something?" I've only been playing with Jimmy and strangers (because my phone is crap), and honestly it bugs me. If I give a stab at a craptastic batman, you could at least try to draw a swoosh!

So if any of you want to play with someone who doesn't draw well, but actually does draw, PM me your email address, por favor. I'd love to get to play with people I know (or want to know), and not some guy with a creepy pic.

If I'm playing with a stranger and they do that, I delete the game. I'm all for text-based inclusions in the drawings (like writing "bzzzzzz" when you draw a bee) but what's the fun in just writing the word itself? I don't get it.

The only person who's done that with me (I don't play with strangers) was a kid and I good-naturedly called her on it.

And Bonnie, what did you do to get to the point to call her on it?

It's so strange to me. Seriously, swoosh? Nike? Although maybe I was playing with kids who didn't remember the Nike swoosh, because a couple of days ago I drew the swoosh and even wrote in Nike, and they couldn't guess it.
Yes, I think I need to play with adults I know. And I totally feel my Baptist upbringing kick in when in irks me.

Some random person wrote "peacock" instead of drawing it... so I clicked Pass, my turn came up, I clicked Done, and when it took me back to my game list I deleted the game (swipe your finger over the person's name and a delete button will appear, at least on the iPhone version). If anyone has a faster/better way, please share!

When it gave me the option to make a comment, I wrote, "Seriously? LOL" and she got the point.

You can delete them at any time by swiping left over their name.

I do that.
sometimes I try and try and JUST can't get the picture right. Or I pick a word I have awesome ideas for, then when it comes to draw it I can't get it right!

Although I had to use a bomb in one game I'm in because my partner was offended I called her a laker's fan by mistake (I forgot the word not before fan) and then never drew her picture, just wrote back that she was NOT a laker's fan.

I love that game, though. Especially now that it shows up that someone played a turn! before I had to randomly check in with it.

I wrote my "I am not a Lakers fan" note, and then meant to click the trash can (that's how I've been doing notes/comments since I didn't know about the comment feature; writing the note and then just using the trash can and moving on to my drawing)... BUT... instead, I accidentally clicked DONE!

No, it was AWESOME. really. I honestly am still

when I think of it. I could just see you with your arms crossed shaking your head at me.

A lot of the people I play with I also have their numbers, so we will be texting and playing.

that's how I used to know a game was ready-when I'd get a text from someone that said, "I totally blew that drawing!!"
