Birthing is so universal.Was so amazing how she knew to ush ever so slowly and each part of the calf she would clean well before next part was born

He is the cutest little thing, running around the enclosure tonight too!

We totally watched all week and were so happy the birth was at a perfect time - right after the kids got up. They posted a picture of the baby with the keepers this morning - he's so big!!
I spent the hour or two after he was born - why isn't that baby nursing more! Mama, stop walking away from the baby, he's trying to find the milks! Baby - nurse more!

4/16 Morning Update
Vet Check and a Thumbs Up This morning the team got hands on with baby to do a full vet check and record height and weight. Height: 5' 9" Weight: 129 lbs (there is a weight drop the first 24 hours) Baby checks out just perfect! Nursing strongly this morning without any concerns. April has recovered perfectly and is eating everything in sight! He is so cute! Looks like a toy!
