mattress toppers?
Use one? What thickness?
I'm looking at either a 1.5" or 2" thick memory foam on Walmart.com right now. Wondering if the extra .5" matters. We did some bed switching around and ds2 wanted me to sleep with him last night. That old mattress is too hard/not supportive! (dd2 had it and had complained but seemed to be sleeping just fine).

Re: mattress toppers?
Hope it's ok for me to hijack for a second. How well do fitted sheets fit over a mattress topper? I always have a hard time getting mine to fit on our mattress as it is, but we really need a mattress topper to make it a few more years before needing to buy a new mattress.

Re: mattress toppers?
Terribly for my thick one fine fir the others. Extra deep sheet exist... I always mean to get one but never do. I have a bed skirt over my mattress and sheet over the topper.

Re: mattress toppers?
I would think a sheet would fit fine over a 2" or less.

Re: mattress toppers?
Yes, the cheaper they are the faster they flatten. My daughter has a good quality one and its been about five years. My son's is cut off our old one, we used about two years and it started flattening but is enough for his lighter weight, he's used it about 6 months. Our thicker one is better quality and been used about two years and still good.
