Re: Women's World Cup - a bit of griping
That's the thing about what happened - there might never be such as mis-matched game ... like ever. From here on out, it's more of a challenge. What disappointed me was the behavior in the face of such an imbalance.

Re: Women's World Cup - a bit of griping
I do not think they were out of line for celebrating.
They were setting records. At the level of World Cup competition, i think they should play as competitively as they can. It would seem odd to me if the players did not celebrate their goals. In professional and college football, when they are imbalance, I think they do it more for getting their 2nd and 3rd strings more experience in a safe situation than to help the other team save face. They play for stats, and any sacrifice in points is a long run strategy when they have no option except to use 2nd or 3rd string players due to injuries or suspensions. There are 3 subs total for each team, and that has to cover any subs for injuries. There are 11 players. So you cannot just put another "team" into play the way you can in other sports.
