Default how can I resize a pic w/out Adobe?

I have a picture I took w/camera phone and downloaded to my pictures. I need to resize it for a paper I'm writing, so it isn't ginormous.......I am used to having Adobe (xh had it) and never resized photos any other way.

Do you have Powerpoint? I put pics in there, resize them, and right click and save picture.

The downside is that you can't resize based on number of pixels. If I need to check that, I keep a picture viewing program open and check it there each time I save a change.

you can upload them online to photobucket and then redownload.

I have a free program called irfanview that is for simple photo editing. really really easy to use.

A friend told me I could drop the picture in my document and then grab the corners to make it smaller. Its a picture for a paper I'm writing for school so its all in Word doc.

Try it, that should work. Either that, or open the Word Doc, Insert the pic and resize it from there.
