Anyone who has started a hosted minecraft server

I need help. I'm lost as to how to set it up. I used fluctis but I can cancel and try something else if it's easier. I'm not so technically challenged. I can do mods and many other such things. But this one is killing me and I'm not sure if it's the site I'm using which basically provides no directions on how to actually play it or what. I would pay more for something to walk me through it. I downloaded a FTP file transfer thingy and transferred some files but I still have no idea how to play it since it won't connect using the IP or site name given.

Ok here, they have a new service for this. It's $11-13 a month depending on what payment option you choose. My DD does it with her friends it's been super easy for us https://minecraft.net/realms

Yeah, I was gonna say, there are sites that make it super easy. i know kids that set it up themselves, so I know it can't be that hard, lol.

It looks like you can't use mods on realms. Anyone know a hosting service that is easy to set up and moddable?

Best of luck.....I had a hard time unjamming a fax machine at work Sunday....that used up all my tech ability!

I signed up for realms anyway. I'm so over it. Lol maybe next month I will try to set up a Moddable one.
