Laundry degreaser?

My family (hubby and 3 boys) are a bunch of grease monkeys---mechanics. I wash with cold water and need some good degreaser to add to my wash loads.
What is good for this?

have u ever tried using a squirt of blue dawn dish soap?

afraid of using to much and having a suds explosion! How much would I use?

I use zout to get out kitchen grease out. It is a sopt treatment but it works great.

Dawn = about a teaspoon or two at most.

Zout is good - I also like Lestoil. It gets out ANYTHING from what I've seen.

yea about a teaspoon or one quick squirt. you can also fill a spray bottle with 1/3 dawn and 2/3 water and then just spray the stains and throw in

I use 7th Generation dish soap for degreasing but Dawn is proba the most powerful

wash in warm or hot not cold for greasy laundry. Adding a cup of baking soda with laundry soap will also help a lot. I also like using simple green there are dirrections for use in laundry on the bottle. http://buy.simplegreen.com/pro-hd-heavy-duty-cleaner
