Send a just "okay" batch of baked goods?
Tomorrow their is a special mother day tea at my 5 years old pre K program. I had signed up to bring a dessert and naturally it totally slipped my mind..
With under $3 left in our account buying something or even gathering ingredients wasn't going to happen.. We didn't have a lot here either.. I did have a box of german chocolate cake mix so I decided to use that to make some brownies. Cecilia says they taste great (she wanted more than the small one I gave her). Too me though they are just kinda ehh.. Its chocolate they are brownies but their is nothing really special about then. I think even a traditional boxed brownie mix might of had more "wow" to them. I figured brownies would just be easier to cut and serve ect than a cake which is why I did brownies... So tell me I'm just REALLY over thinking this... Or tell me I'm crazy for trying to wing it like this...

You're overthinking it and the brownies will be great.

If you have any sprinkles or leftover candy hiding in your house you can put those on top to make them a little special. Plus kindergarteners will always eat the one's with sprinkles first!

Well, when I make cupcakes and take them to preschool, at least 3 kids per time say they don't like them. . In my opinion, preschool doesn't DESERVE anything better than "okay". Lol

I agree. You are overthinking. Send what you made. They'll be great.

ITA with everyone else. Preschoolers aren't going to notice, it's chocolate and sweet.
