Merry Christmas everyone! We celebrate (low key) for the 12 days of Christmas so it's still Christmas for us.

My kiddos couldn’t make it due to a freak snowstorm yesterday. So, we will celebrate when they can come. I’m so sad they couldn’t make it, glad they are safe. Dd and I both cried. It’s her first Christmas not with us.

Our Christmas was also different this year. My dh, two boys, and I have to self-isolate due to Covid (I tested positive and we all have the same symptoms). Our girls weren't with us at Christmas for the first time ever and that has been hard. I was prepared with Christmas foods and our appetites are low so self-isolating has been otherwise easy. This is the first time Covid has impacted our lives so I understand from a personal level what others have already experienced in past holidays when not able to be with nearest and dearest.

I’m glad you got to see them! Hopefully tomorrow will be able to go ahead too. I’m not a fan of snow - very pretty, but also impractical!

I usually love the snow! I’m so torn between enjoying it and being sad about it this year. Trying to have a good attitude, but we are all missing dd.
