Lawn mowers?

We bought a new self propelled Front wheel drive mower last week with a trigger handle for the self propelled that has variable speed. I don't like that trigger handle, makes my hand tired squeezing it.

I think I'm going to return it and get one with the bar for self propelled. Can get either AWD or FWD.

My dad recommends RWD but until today I hadn't been able to find one. But it is $380 when the others are about $280.

So, do you have an opinion, AWD or FWD? And why would it matter?

Unless your yard is really hilly i don't think there is a difference between awd and rwd.

Ours is not self propelled. How big is your lawn?

3/4 acre, mostly level.

I'm beginning to think "forget the hassle and just keep the new one we got". I don't like the trigger handle but hey it is self propelled.

On the other hand if I pay $300 for something that I hope to have for 10+ yrs then I should like it.

We have a $60 push mower for our little yard and it works really well. I just have to take a few minutes to clear the yard of sticks before mowing. No gasoline and no worries about little people's feet.
