Video editing for iPad, kid friendly

My daughter wants the ability to edit her iPad videos primarily by cutting out parts of the video and possibly by splicing more than one clip together in parts. I am pretty sure there are apps that do this but I keep finding ones that do other things instead. Something that helps her save the file not just upload it to some social site. Any ideas?

Video Slimmer. I googled, and this was recommended. It saves the files in a smaller format and allows you to connect short videos to make one long one, and edit videos. We've had it for about a week and it's the best $3 I ever spent.
