Transitioning 16 m/o to his own bed.

It is time. He only wakes once or twice at night to nurse, and really that is only when I move and disturb him. And I hate bed sharing more than just about anything else in the whole wide world ever. So I think I'm going to start tonight. I have a twin mattress all ready for him on the floor and I'm going to lay down with him and nurse him to sleep until he is out then leave and go to my own bed.

So....I don't know that I need advice yet, maybe just prayers.

When it's "been time" it's been really easy for us.

This is a whole new adventure for me. The big kids were in their own beds from the beginning and have never woken during the night since they were seven weeks old.

We start with a side carred crib, so that it's the same height, and easier to just shove them over after they're asleep, if they think they're not yet ready.

Is he going to share a room with is brother? We put dd3 in her own twin beside her sister's bed, with bedrails & she has been keen to sleep there ever since.

Just following along. I need to get my 3 yo out of my bed but he has always been like Velcro after sundown. If he slept as solidly as my infant I probably wouldn't mind bed sharing, but he spends the entire night trying to crawl under us

I really want him out.

done it with my now 5 yo and just doing with my 18 mo who stills comes to bed about 2 am.
