washing diapers if you're only using a few
Right now I'm just using cloth training pants at night for my 5 year old. I have 4 and have been washing them every 4 days. Is it ok to go that long between washing them? Also, now he's starting to have some dry nights. For the first time I just have 1 wet diaper waiting to be washed and he's had 2 dry nights. Would you wash 1 all by itself or wash it with a load of other laundry? It seems like such a waste of water, detergent, and time to wash one diaper all by itself, but is it ok to wash it with other things?

I try to rinse it out in the sink and then wash it with other things. Same thing I would do if my child had an accident.

I do the same. Rinse and then wash with other stuff.

Yea, when we got to that stage, I would throw the rinsed diaper in with a regular load. Truthfully, it's the same as when a child pees their pants. I don't feel the need to wash those clothes separately, kwim?

Re: washing diapers if you're only using a few
Do you use the cloth diaper detergent on everything then?

not unless your regular detergent has a lot of additives etc. in it.
and really your dipes are exposed to whatever detergent u normally use anyway since there is always a good amount of residue/buildup in a washing machine
