Re: Fall Planting?
yay! I was so discouraged this year... having a baby in May meant no spring or early summer gardening... i've never done fall/winter gardens but now i'm excited to do it! Now that baby is nearly 3 mo I've got the energy and time so I'm going to plant carrots, kale, chives and bulb fennel...

Re: Fall Planting?
Hopetobe, what are fabric pots?
We have mostly raised beds, made out of things like corrugated metal water tanks cut into slices, iykwim. The only non-raised bed will be the no-dig potatoes I'm going to put in once the frosts end (a few weeks away yet).

Fall Planting?
Quote:
This is similar to what we have: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007BV...&robot_redir=1 Sorry, I'm on my phone so it's more annoying to make it a link. The smaller pots have handles, but the bigger beds don't. I've never used them before. I've read that the material aerates the soil more which is supposed to be better than regular pots or beds, but I hope it doesn't also dry out the soil super quickly here in FL. ETA: Oh, I guess Tapatalk automatically links it now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Fall Planting?
They look cool! Let us know how they go.
Yes it is neat that we can recycle so much junk into useful things, but it's not so cool that the previous owners left SO much junk lying about. What can I turn hundreds of beer cans into? Our recycling bin gets a workout whenever DH goes digging under the house!
