rhodiola and low blood sugar?
Does anyone know or has anyone experienced if rhodiola lowers blood sugar? I tend to have low blood sugar and I"ve been taking rhodiola daily for a couple weeks now. The past week or so I am more hungry, more low blood sugar, sleepy in the afternoon. I'm not sure if it's from the rhodiola. or... the stress that caused me to take it in the first place! I'm not getting the greatest sleep either and feeling just run down. throat feels slightly sore or swollen, very tired, a little achey like. I haven't felt this way in a long time. Seems I need the rhodiola! but not sure if it's making me feel worse.

I've not experienced that. I will say that we have those symptoms here from seasonal allergies.

Re: rhodiola and low blood sugar?
so do you feel the same way with allergies but not really have a runny nose, sneezing, itching, etc?

Re: rhodiola and low blood sugar?
It looks like golden root can trigger hormone response which can influence how your body metabolizes differen fuel sources. So it is possible that your blood sugar is tanking because of a metabolic shift.
If you typical struggle with low blood sugar are you intentional about your eating and the timing of it? If so you may need to play around a bit with that to find the new normal that keeps you even. |
