Can anyone explain to me what this is? How it works?

It is Google's version of the cloud. You can have your pictures, videos, documents, etc., stored in one place for "easy" access. I believe there are editing and file sharing capabilities, too. Its supposed to make it easier on you by combining lots of programs you'd use (photobucket and such) and allowing you to log into one place to do everything.
