Re: D. R. P. T. ! (dietary revamp processing thread ;) )
I love both my food processors! I have a cheap 2-cup for small jobs and a Cuisinart 7-cup with extra blades for bigger ones.
Sherri, watch the ads that come in your mailbox for % off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond. I've seen some good ones. If they come out with a new one, it might be worth it to buy a food processor there! I'll give you a heads-up if I get one

Re: D. R. P. T. ! (dietary revamp processing thread ;) )
I Have recently discovered a deep love for my food processor. I used to never use it because they are a pain to clean (no dishwasher) but its become worth it. I need to get a small one though.

Food processor- what DON'T I use it for, more likely!
Purée veggies to mix into ground beef or soups, blend batters made with coconut flour, chop veggies quickly, make coconut butter, nut meal .... I use it daily. I love my Cuisinart. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2 |

Butter candy
1/2 C butter (or coconut oil although we like the butter flavor ) 1/2 C coconut butter 1/2 t cinnamon mix together and freeze. I use ice cube trays ---------- Post added at 05:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:11 PM ---------- I don't use my food processor often Not sure why but I use my vitamix and my hand mixer like they are going out of style Looking at Lisa's list, I will say I don't like the way mine chops, grates and slices. I do like the way it mixes but I like a hand mixer better for mixing. Trying to think of what I'd use a food processor for I use it less than once a week Oh and I have one that cost over $50 so I don't think it's quality.

Re: D. R. P. T. ! (dietary revamp processing thread ;) )
RE not being able to be completely grain free. One good thing about it is those grains can become a way to get broth into your kids if you are making broth. You can use it instead of water to cook rice or quinoa. You can also put GF pasta into soup and then even if they mostly just pick out the chunks of the soup like my kids the broth is still in the noodles.
I think I solved one piece of the puzzle for me personally. For awhile I was sugar free for everything except coffee and then finally I cut the sugar out of the coffee and to me it tasted gross with just my creamer (I use coconut milk or kefir cream) so I usually just drink black coffee. Then I was trying to cut out grains for breakfast so I'm spending a long time cooking in the kitchen in the morning, drinking black coffee all the while. So I think it was the black coffee messing with my blood sugar and upsetting my stomach. The last couple of days I've a faster/ simpler breakfast before having coffee and I've felt MUCH better.

Forgot to multiquote Connie - I need to check the drawer for a BBB coupon. I haven't seen one in a while, but we are so tired of the junk ads, we may have tossed them unknowingly.

---------- Post added at 08:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:14 PM ---------- A couple wks ago dh was eating a pastry while I read the following blog post to him. When I was finished he said "did you see what i just did? I just threw my food away while you were reading that!" He is probably about 50% on board, very excited about the fact that i am eating so much animal fat now but yeah, he still has a ways to go before he fully embraces it all and let's go of some of his unhealthy habbits. I thought this was a great post though and encouraging for the men. http://bridgingthegapsdiet.blogspot....s-for-men.html

We used to have eggs all the time so now my kids won't touch them unless I make "pancakes" which are really eggs and banana in the blender and then fried in coconut oil like crepes, or else they will eat turkey sausage patties (ground turkey, herbamare, egg, coconut flour) or bacon.
