Re: What are your favorite oils?
Peppermint is funny like that. It helps me and my son tremendously but my husband is not helped by it at all.

Re: What are your favorite oils?
Oils! I love them. Right now our allergies are horrid! I've been going crazy on the olbas and purify. On my feet, in a diffuser! Today I put it on wet mops before mopping.
I sprinkle lavender on my anxiety prone child's bed at night. I also make homemade thieves. I need to make more with winter approaching. I use thieves for almost everything suggested even cleaning. I use tea tree for skin things. Peppermint doesn't help anyone here and we all suffer from weather induced migraines (storms). I love chamomile for migraines but we still need meds I was doing an allergy blend that I cannot recall at the moment ... Lemon, lavender and something else . I'm trying to think what else I use. I'm fascinated by frankincense but have never invested in it. I haven't use clary safe in awhile and I'm suddenly wondering if id benefit from it. I really need additional diffusers as this will be the first winter my kids aren't sharing a room. And I'm loving our diffuser so much id like one more for downstairs. Since it's been cold this week, we've been using it a ton and moving it place to place. That makes me nervous that it will get broken! I'm... My dream is 4 more and that seems excessive I'm going to get out my oils book tomorrow. This is piquing my interest in solving more of our problems w e.o. I'm having a ton of random things tat lead me to believe arthritis and my dd is having some female problems again. Wonderful thread very inspiring

It is 3 drops each: lavender, lemon and peppermint. I forget because peppermint doesn't work for us. We've stuck w olbas and purify for allergies but I'm going to try plain lavender. I've read doing a cheek swipe of lavender can help allergies . I was diffusing the above but hadn't tried on skin yet.

Re: What are your favorite oils?
Ugh so many of the blends that would help for certain things my family deals with cannot be used in our home. I am so allergic to lavender. I always end up having to work around that. Even medicinal herbal teas, I am I. I process of making my own calming tea blend because of lavender in the store blends.

Any brands to recommend? I can't afford Doterra or young living. Any opinions on mountain rose herbs or aura cacia!

Re: What are your favorite oils?
You can't beat young living oils. Its like everything else, you get what you pay for. I've been using them for 10 years now before they became the new in thing and they are amazing. Be careful using the cheap brands and never, ever ingest the cheap ones. My favorites are thieves, peace and calming, purification, and frankincense. I use the diffuser that YL sells to diffuse but we do a lot of topical and internal uses and non of us have had our sniffles turn into anything at all in the last few years.

Re: What are your favorite oils?
I hate to say this but someone gave us some samples of YL recently and I didn't see any difference from the other types I've used!
I ingest Aura Cacia and frontier and have for 15 yrs.

Re: What are your favorite oils?
I buy Aura Cacia because I get it from a Frontier coop and it is so much more affordable. I know a lot of people would disagree but it's what I can afford.
I just made my own thieves oil. School started. We have sick people in the house and I'm spraying it all over everything! I use this recipe and buy the oils separately.

Re: What are your favorite oils?
I'm thinking of buying aura cacia from vitacost. I belong to a co-op that buys from frontier but vitacost is cheaper.
My herbalist school instructor recommended penny price, aromatics international, and nhr organics. |

Re: What are your favorite oils?
I'll bad it I was a little skeptical that brand mattered that much. But, I ordered a car diffuser that came with a free bottle of oil, which I didn't realize. I was excited, then I opened the oil and it seriously smelled like fingernail polish remover. Gross! I bought from eden's garden and so far I've been very pleased.
