I mash chickpeas and add the same things I add for tuna salad.

I made chickpea blondies and everyone loved them. I don't usually like desserts but I did like these. I didn't see that I was supposed to use unsalted garbanzos until it was too late. If I had seen that, I would have reduced the added salt. But it turned out well. It almost tasted like cornbread with chocolate chips in it. Which sounds awful! But even my picky teenager loved them and he didn't ask me, "what did you do to make this healthier?!?!?"
I used this recipe. I didn't add the aquafaba because we have so many eggs; I just added an egg. I used whole wheat flour and doubled the chocolate chips. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...J4j6xO&cf=1 |
