Daybed as temporary sofa

We need seating in our new home but don't want to buy sofa/couch yet until we know exactly what we want.

I have an old day bed that is white that I want to spray paint & cover. It will most likely end up in a spare room after we're fully in & renovated but for now will serve as LR seating.

I like two covers for it & hubs doesn't really care. Which one would you go with? This green striped one or this pretty, more feminine floral one

Also, what color would you paint the day bed with which cover? I was kind of thinking antique white if going with the floral one & maybe an brushed bronze if going with the green one but am open to suggestions. Thanks.

I like your ideas.
They're both great- what does the rest of the decor in both of the rooms look like? Would you care if it matched/clashed? Will there be kiddos around?
With my decor and having littles (and lots of guys) around, I would go for the green stripes.

We don't have a lot of company. We have one kiddo. Most guests will probably end up playing outside, in his room or in the basement. It'll probably be less than a year in the LR. Food & shoes will be forbidden. The decor is undecided right now because we'll be adding onto that room next spring sometime. We'll most likely be painting it & getting a large area rug but nothing has been bought or decided. Temporarily I don't care if it clashes. IF we borrow the area rug from my mom, it will definitely clash but if we buy it, I'll buy it to match whatever we chose because I'll want to then use it in the spare room.
