Is there a little kids math app...
That does not give three choices and let the child guess and thereby erase his own budding interest in arithmetic?
My five ear old randomly tells me things like “mom, nine plus three is twelve” after staring out the window for some time previous. I don’t want to hand him an app that squelches whatever is going on in his brain right now. But I would love it if he could practice with something visual and fun for him. Suggestions? He boards the school bus in mid August. |

The Dragonbox Numbers app is really good: https://dragonbox.com/products/numbers . All the Dragonbox apps are good, really - I have both algebra ones, the geometry one, and the numbers one.

Re: Is there a little kids math app...
I was coming to suggest the same thing.
We love dragon box elements. Even my 10 year old will ask to play in it. I got it when wiggle worm was 4 and she could comfortably use it ( unless early bird went though a million level for her and left it where it was not something she could have gotten to her self. ) Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Definitely Dragon Box! It's well worth the price IMO.
link - I just came across this list of physical games you might like for birthdays etc. Many of them were familiar to me but I found a few new ones for our wish list.

Re: Is there a little kids math app...
I posted a little while ago about Bedtime Math. My 5 year old loves it. It's free. A different story/info blurb (sometimes with a short linked video) and 3-4 levels of math problems each day that go with it. It's a fun thing for us to do before bed.

He is super focused on his new app,it’s awesome! Any letters and sounds apps that don’t allow continual guessing?

Re: Is there a little kids math app...
Also a HUGE Dragon Box fan! You'd be surprised how young a child can be and still do their algebra app. I'd get that one, too.
As far as other topics, Khan Academy has a kids app. I installed it but haven't really looked at it much. I mostly use it to try and keep my 3 yo quiet during appointments. |
