I finally motivated to delete 170 PMs. Took about 2 minutes. I've been putting it off because it was going to take too long.

Turns out you can delete all messages from a sender! :confetti

I was able to delete messages from people who aren't on GCM anymore. I was able to delete all my "you're busted" PMs from admins and moderators.

I kept all the messages from people I consider friends, and I *will* go though those soon too. Light at the end of the tunnel!

I'll ignore emails for awhile, as an introvert. But eventually it stresses me out more having them there than ignoring them, so I simply delete them all, mostly unread, unless they seem to come from someone or something important. I guess I just don't get important emails.

Apparently, I'm not all that interesting.

Most of my emails are banal. My PMs are genuine, but pretty drama free.

The unread ones are unimportant junk mail types which is why they are unread. I don't bother to delete them because that takes more time than just ignoring them. So it's mostly laziness on my part.

I do both.
I keep most things but delete most newsletters and blogs that I've signed up for but lost interest in or just don't have time to read.
About 2x a year I try to really clean it up and move things to files and delete what isn't needed, but it only happens about once a year in reality... if that
