Any insect repellant that is not DEET and doesn't smell awful?

I guess I *could* make my own. I once used Skin So Soft diluted. Might do that again. Or just the Avon bug repellant. Since picking a tick off of ds2 today I might get Off with DEET to spray on our shoes and socks. But for mosquitoes in our back yard when the kids are out at night this summer I want something that does not *have* to be washed off.

Invisible Net. I have to drive a distance to find it in store, but I bet you could order it. It works well and smells wonderful.
