Re: Herbal guide for beginners, print book
For simplicity and clarity, I like Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health.
Any of Aviva Romm's books, like Naturally Healthy Babies and Children, are great, especially if you want something kid-focused. If I could only pick one, and I wanted something more in-depth. I'd go with Healing with the Herbs of Life by Lesley Tierra. She really digs into why you use different herbs for different conditions, but she uses more hard-to-find herbs and complicated blends, so it might not be as good of a fit for where you are right now.

I love Rosemary Gladstar's books.
She's practical about it all. We got to hear her do an herbalism 101 talk a few years ago. |
