Help, please, my favorite sarong is thinning
I've sewn multiple little holes in it but I'm beginning to see that the material seems to just be thinning/weaker. The tears are bigger. Should I start patching it? (That could have a cute, rustic look). Any other advice?

I sew, have you looked into darning?
If you hand darn you can often hide it really well, esp with some practice.
